“Creative Work Problems” is a weekly comic series that deals with the problems artists and designers face every day. It’s meant to be funny, cute, and helpful for people who have problems with their creative work.

  • Overdoing and Overthinking

    Overthinking and overdoing things will hinder you in your creative work. Worst case you get a creative block if you experience this too often. One way to help with this problem is a set time frame where you do your work. You won’t have time to overdo or overthink anything with no time at hand!

  • Find Your Why And Find Your Motivation

    What is your internal and external “why”? It will drive you towards your goals, helps you if you need motivation, and gets you out of a rut. If you find your “why” you will have a purpose in your work.

  • Remember What Helps You

    Things aren’t always good. There are times you fall back and problems come back. It is important to remember what helped you the last time you had a problem if it occurs again. Then you can challenge this new obstacle again with the same solution!

  • Creative Exploration with Automatic Drawing

    With this method, you can start your creative work with ease. You can begin with no motivation at all, there is almost no resistance you encounter when you start working with this technique. It is also a nice system to get ideas for future projects or just your next piece of art.

  • Do Not Listen!

    You hear stuff everywhere that you have to do this or that. Criticism of your work or just how you should be creative. Maybe you are not productive enough and everyone around you tells you to work hard. Don’t listen to them. Do want you want to do and listen when you need it. This…
