Sometimes, you just need a reset! At the end of last week, instead of sticking to my usual routine, I spent four days creating a short animation in a completely different style and process than I normally use. It wasn’t a big, strategic decision; I only felt like doing something else for a while. Honestly, it was exactly what I needed.
The change of pace gave me fresh energy. Animating challenged me in new ways, pulling me into a different kind of creative flow and making me work on it for ten hours straight on a Saturday night. It was so fresh and addictive! This experience reminded me that doing something outside your usual process isn’t a distraction but a healthy reset.
Today I’m back to my usual routine and work process, and feel more focused and excited. Taking a break helped me return with a clearer head and renewed motivation. Sometimes, the best way to keep going is to do something else for a while.
